Weston is located about 15 miles southwest of the Broward County seat, Fort Lauderdale. It is northwest of Miami-Dade county and may be found immediately west of I-75 and south of I-595.

It has been recently reported (October 24, 2011 by Bloomberg Businessweek) that Weston which is a high-income city of more than 65,000 people close to Ft. Lauderdale has had home values recovering. The median home value has risen 15.1 percent to $280K from February 2009 to August 2011. An online survey hosted by Zillow ranked Weston as the best-performing city since Obama took office.
